Sister Beesting
This week in the mtc has hands down been one of the best weeks of my life. OH so many things I don't even know where to start.
I guess I'll begin with my cute comp, sister modersitzki! The bee sting she got last Tuesday made her foot blow up and it kept getting worse and worse. So by Saturday we finally were able to take an mtc shuttle to the ER. Long story short she got a skin infection and had to be in a wheel chair until it was better. Well, not a lot of new things happen at the mtc.. so rumors began to spread & before we knew it we were hearing things like "there's this girl in a wheelchair that has the biggest foot I've ever seen" or "a tracker jacker bit that sister in the wheel chair." Elders and Sisters we hadn't even met would pass us saying "hey sister beesting!" #mtclegends To be honest I loved it. We both did! We made so many new friends because of it! Wayyyy more pros to this whole situation. She's better now & people are so sweet & excited to see her walking!! God answers prayers!
The mtc is busyyyy! There is always something to be studying or a class to go to. I LOVE IT. I'm the happiest little muffin when I am using all the hours in the day to do something productive. And the best part is I'm always busy with the Lord's work!! Which is even better! Ahh! I couldn't even begin to explain all the wonderful things I have learned here.
My district agreed to be at class 10 minutes early to share our "happy time" from the day. One of my absolute favorite happy times from this whole mtc thing is when sister modersitzki and i are walking around campus & we are saying "hi, elders/sisters!" and they respond with their native or mission language! There is no where else in the entire world like the mtc. So many people from all over the world speaking a bunch of different languages all with the same purpose! Gives me chills. There could never be a basic week where not a lot happened. I'm going to be really sad to leave. (Who knew I would ever like Provo this much) But, similar to how Adam and Eve eventually realized there was no growth in the garden of Eden, I must leave & continue my mission in DC!! (Which excites me just as much.)
(Sunday & Tuesday night devotional were both equally as lovely. Participating in the mtc choir lives up to the expectations all the RMs gave me.) (and how extreme 4 square gets.)
Wednesday night all the EFY kids have game night on the field & it just makes my heart so happy because EFY is where I realized the reality of God. It had a big impact on me & now I'm across the street in the mtc!! Crazy stuff!
Sister modersitzki and I are generally happy people but I can honestly say I have never felt so much happiness in my life. It doesn't come in little spurts like usual. It's this constant balanced combination of peace & joy that made a little home for it's self in the depths of my heart. There is nothing else in this world that could possibly be more important than what I am doing. God is preparing the hearts of the people in DC & through his help I can't wait to find them to share this sweet message!!! :):):)
You can all feel this happiness I feel! I promise God loves each of you & is anxiously waiting for you to come back to him.
