Hey, friends. I love you all.  This week went by quick quick quick. (Sad) I blink and it's already the weekend, I blink again and I'm writing this email.  We have had so many miracles. I can't even believe it. Our friend Videl Johnson is on date for baptism! He is SO EXCITED. He texted us and said "I love everything about church." We are so excited for him.   Here's what I love: Peace.  And I love my friends I've had the blessing of teaching here in Virginia. Once their hearts are open to the peace, nothing else matters. The sacrifice, the stigmas, the misinformation, the callings, the people, you name it! These people are willing to do anything to have that inner peace part of their every day. And I've found even some members of the church don't quite have the peace. It's all up to us. Are we going to open our hearts and let the peace in? Or are we going to keep trying to find it in other places?   "But the Son of Righteo...

Let us not give into the temptation to be dishonest with the needs of others.   I LOVE the Book of Mormon. So much. I've never been so intrigued by a book, so much so, that I can't put it down. When study time ends my heart gets sad. But then I get to go tell the world about the Book, which has its own level of satisfaction!  In third Nephi 21:1 Christ says "And verily I say unto you, I give unto you a sign, that ye may know the time when these things shall be about to take place—that I shall gather in, from their long dispersion, my people, O house of Israel, and shall establish again among them my Zion" The sign of our dispensation is the Book of Mormon! With the first publication of the book in 1830 the world could know that all of God's children can now be "gathered in, from their long dispersion." HELLO, THIS IS AWESOME! A question Elder Uchtdorf asked that I ask all of you, "Are you sleeping through the restoration?" Let us take an...

Time Stand Still

This week went by TOO quick!! Time can slow down, please.  God blessed us with many new friends to teach this week!! FIVE families! How exciting!    woot! woot! And thus we see, prayers are always answered!  A scripture that has meant a lot to me recently is Doctrine and Covenents 123:17 "Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed."   All we can do is our best, then it must be the work of God. I'm so happy we have a God in heaven, and in our hearts, that we can trust will do the best for us as we do the best for Him.  The work of being a missionary for Christ's true, restored gospel is the greatest opportunity/ experience anyone could receive. My days are becoming numbered and it brings me to tears multiple times in a week. The "mighty change of heart" that has taken place withi...
