Happy Fall!
Picture this. (Bc a legit picture wouldn't do it justice.) Pink skies. Bright moon. Long road along side the river. HUGE trees on either side. The D.C. skyline reflecting on the Potomac through the breaks in the trees. Christian rock. Windows down. Crisp air bc there was a break in the humidity. #fall :') LIFE. Ready? This is about to be so cheesy. Mosiah 18:30- "And now it came to pass that all this was done in [Virginia], yea, by the waters of [Virginia], in the forest that was near the waters of [Virginia] yea, the place of [Virginia], the waters of [Virginia], the forest of [Virginia], how beautiful are they to the eyes of them who there came to the knowledge of their Redeemer; yea, and how blessed are they, for they shall sing to his praise forever." Haha it's true, life is more beautiful with the spirit and with the knowledge that it's all possible because of Christ. YAY!
My new companions name is Sister.Minaker. She is from Canada! Plays rugby for BYU. And it's the brightest ray of sunshine I've ever met in my life. She is everything anyone would ever need in a missionary companion & friend. GAH, I LOVE HER. This transfer is about to have miracles shooting out of our fingertips. God is so good.
We have been reading/talking about Abinidi! The cool-iest. As silly as this sounds, reading of others that have sacrificed so much, even their life, for this gospel makes a year and a half seem so small. All I'm doing is sacrificing the smallest bit of time, which honestly isn't even a sacrifice because I enjoy it so much haha. Guys, missions are so awesome!! The amount of historic shoulders current missionaries stand on gives me chills.
This super nice woman in our building gave us sunflowers. Just because.
I don't think I've ever talked about the place we live. It looks like a hotel. At this point I'm decent friends with a lot of the residents. (Especially the front desk people. I love them.) 90+% of them are not originally from the U.S. And with a Canadian companion I'm the odd one out.
I. LOVE. IT.
Well, happy fall! I hope you all danced to the 21st night of September song. I was singing it all day.
Heavenly father loves you!
I love you!
