Hey, friends. I love you all.
This week went by quick quick quick. (Sad) I blink and it's already the weekend, I blink again and I'm writing this email.
We have had so many miracles. I can't even believe it. Our friend Videl Johnson is on date for baptism! He is SO EXCITED. He texted us and said "I love everything about church." We are so excited for him.
Here's what I love: Peace.
And I love my friends I've had the blessing of teaching here in Virginia. Once their hearts are open to the peace, nothing else matters. The sacrifice, the stigmas, the misinformation, the callings, the people, you name it! These people are willing to do anything to have that inner peace part of their every day. And I've found even some members of the church don't quite have the peace. It's all up to us. Are we going to open our hearts and let the peace in? Or are we going to keep trying to find it in other places?
"But the Son of Righteousness shall appear unto them; and he shall heal them, and they shall have peace with him." (2 Nephi 26:9) Peace with Christ. Peace in Christ. It's a beautiful thing. And the true story of Jesus Christ is it's never too late! "For can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee, O house of Israel. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me." (1 Nephi 21:15&16)
We had a sushi party with a friend we are teaching and some members! So fun!
We also met an amazing woman from Pakistan! She had us over for lunch! Wow, I love her. She had her daughter take a picture while we prayed so she could remember her "daughters in God". I love this world.
