10/1/19

t's that perfect time of year where our 6:30-7:00 am exercise time is during the SUNRISE! 💓🎉🌞🍃

Brother Johnson was baptized this weekend!! Yay!! He is a miracle. His whole life is a miracle. The chain of events that led to his willing heart to accept this true message. WOW IT MAKES ME CRY. I LOVE HIM. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" (John 10:27) That is 100% Brother Johnson.

Transfer board was released this week. I'll be leaving my beautiful land of Annandale. When I got into this area, six months ago, it was split in half and both sides got brand new missionaries. In other words, I was called to "white wash train." With my first companion, sister Wiscombe, and now my awesome companion, sister Seaver, we have seen innumerable miracles. Learned precious lessons. Seen the light of the gospel change the lives of the strangers that have become eternity long friends. It's been so amazing. And I am so forever grateful for this chance to be a missionary.
My new area will be only the George Mason University campus! President says "If you baptize a young single adult, you baptize a family!" So he opened a new area and is sticking me and an experienced missionary, sister stout, into the college world. AH! I started my mission in a YSA ward & I really had to develop how to be in the world but not of the world! Hopefully that skill has grown over the last nine months because I'll need it!!

It will be an adjustment serving with an experienced missionary! The last nine months I have had the AMAZING opportunity to serve with new missionaries!! "My children", if you will. They've all grown up & their faith has wrought many miracles in their own areas. If I have learned to love anyone in my mission, it's been the missionaries I've been privileged to train. LOVE GROWS. I have a testimony of that. (Pictured below are my beautiful daughters. Heavenly father got them all in one spot for a devotional last night. How kind of him.)

"Behold, I answer for you; for our [friends], the [people of Annandale, Virginia], were in darkness, yea, even in the darkest abyss, but behold, how many of them are brought  behold the marvelous light of God! And this is the blessing which hath been bestowed upon us, that we have been made instruments in the hands of God to bring about this great work." (Alma 26:3)
