Good News!!

Good news, our birds are still eating the food we leave out for them on the balcony. We have a blue jay and a crow that are regulars. no big deal.
Also good news, IM STAYING IN CRYSTAL CITY WITH SISTER MINAKER FOR ANOTHER SIX WEEKS💛 this week we gathered some nuts that had fallen off a tree and ended up along the road in the gutter. We cracked them and tried boiling them. I don't know what our end goal was.. but it didn't work. Advice: leave the gutter nuts, they are very bitter.

We met a man on the fourth floor... last door (haha)!! He met with missionaries in Korea but lost contact when he moved back to America. WELL HELLO, MIRACLES!

There is a part of preach my gospel where a recent convert expresses how when he found the church it filled a hole in his heart/life that he didn't know was missing.
That's the best way I can explain how being on a mission feels like. I have found a piece of me I didn't know was missing. Life right before leaving was so wonderful! Heavenly Father has blessed me with such amazing family and friends, but I was having feelings I couldn't put words to until this last general conference. Michelle D. Craig explained it all for me. "These prophetic calls to action, coupled with our innate sense that we can do and be more, sometimes create within us what Elder Neal A. Maxwell called “divine discontent.” Divine discontent comes when we compare “what we are [to] what we have the power to become.” Each of us, if we are honest, feels a gap between where and who we are, and where and who we want to become. We yearn for greater personal capacity. We have these feelings because we are daughters and sons of God, born with the Light of Christ yet living in a fallen world. These feelings are God given and create an urgency to act"
If any of y'all are having these feelings I hope you won't fall into Satan's trap of discouragement. I hope you choose to follow the promptings! I am so happy every day since I came out here to serve the Lord. All the lessons & doctrine I've learned, all the perspective I've gained is already irreplaceable. And I'm only headed into my fourth transfer!!! So much more waiting for me! But more importantly, so much waiting for Heavenly Fathers children who will get to become clean and recieve the wonderful gift of the holy ghost here on Earth. Like President Nelson, I am feeling very optimistic about the future!

LOVE you all infinity💛
